Hello world!
My name is Anders Brenna. I’m a Norwegian technology journalist and editor working at digi.no, Norway’s biggest newssite for professional IT-news.
Before joining digi.no, I worked several jobs in the IT-industry. I have worked on IT-infrastructure projects, as a programmer, courseinstructor, pre-sales, project manager and as a founder of some smaller projects.
I really enjoy being a technology journalist, as it gives me the opportunity to look into a lot of subjects in this industry.
Sometimes I get to do stories that I feel should be exposed to a larger audience than the small part of the world speaking Norwegian, and I therefore want to write a little in English as well. I’m not yet sure if I’ll publish them here in this blog, or in a separate magazine type blog with a different URL.
I started blogging on the 11.th of May 2003, but I have almost exclusively written in my native Norwegian language. My Norwgian blog at abrenna.blogspot.com has been up all the time, but I have had several blogging breaks.
It is not always easy to motivate oneself to write a personal blog everyday, when your fulltime job consist of writing stories regularly. After picking up on blogging this easter, I found that I really missed bogging, and decided to have a new go at it. This time I will also write in english here, as well as write a couple of Norwegian blog-articles. I’ll commit to publishing at least once a week at both blogs.

“I’m not yet sure if I’ll publish them here in this blog, or in a separate magazine type blog with a different URL.” — depends if you want us to see both the personal and the professional side of you on the same page

Good point!
I’m actually not sure. People can read my professional work at digi.no, so I don’t really need my blog to write those kinds of articles.
I think perhaps that I’ll start of by writing comments on the blog, and perhaps create a separate URL with a magazine theme where I’ll put the actual stories.
Those will perhaps be translated articles from digi.no, but it might also be articles from my course in culture journalism at NKS/HiO. I have written some unpublished articles on roleplaing games and norwegian bloggers during that course.
First, however, I need to get mye new blogs up and running properly. They work, but they don’t look quite like I want tthem to yet.

Thanks!
Hopefully I’ll be able to develop it further, so that it looks better. My first priority however, is to fill it with content.
